We recognize that all our patients are unique and deserve to receive dental care that reflects their individual needs. Our experienced and talented dental team is committed to working with you and your family to create a comfortable, stress-free, and rewarding dental experience every time you visit our practice.
We are pleased to welcome you and your family, and we look forward to working with you.
My goal is to make sure all our patients have a great experience in our office. One of the highlights of my job is interacting with and establishing friendships with our patients and their families. I love the personal connections I make on a daily basis. Dr. Dicus and our team make coming to work every day a lot of fun! We work so well together and truly enjoy each other’s company.
I am married and together we have four children. The two oldest boys are my bonus kids with my husband and are currently attending college, with the oldest set to get married this summer. My two younger kids Scott and Kylie are high school students.
In addition to finishing his senior year, Scott is also serving in the Army National Guard and will continue on to UNR after graduation. Kylie stays very active with year-round sports, including skiing for her high school team and figure skating at Reno Ice. We have three dogs — Teddy, Layla, and Copper — who round out our beautiful blended family. Life is super busy, but I wouldn’t have it any other way!
Front Office Administration
I’m from a small town, Hawthorne, and have been in Reno since I graduated high school in 2005. I’ve worked in the dental field since 2007. I was an assistant for 13 years and then made the transition to front office. The part I enjoy most about my job is interacting with our patients and making their experience as easy and stress-free as possible.
I’m a homebody and enjoy movies, music, concerts, and trying new restaurants. I love spending time with my friends and my fur babies, Tiny and Bella.
I began my dental career in 2000, when I earned my expanded functions dental assistant degree from Concorde Career Institute in Tampa, Florida. I moved to the Reno area and, in 2018, became a part of the fun, caring group here at DFD! As our insurance coordinator, I enjoy following up on dental insurance claims and solving problems in order to have insurance companies pay claims in a timely manner.
I have three dogs that I love to take hiking in the Lake Tahoe area. I also enjoy skiing and snowshoeing during the winter months.
Registered Dental Hygienist
I am in charge of the hygiene department at this office. I perform all aspects of dental hygiene, including cleaning our patients’ teeth, scaling and root planing, sealants, and patient education. I love helping my patients achieve an optimum state of oral health through my treatment and educating them.
I also enjoy the relationships with the other girls that work here and, of course, I love working with Dr. Dicus. We all get along so well with each other and all work great as a team. Our patients are cared for in an excellent manner, starting with the very first phone call.
I am a proud Northern Nevadan, born and raised. I am an avid skier and snowboarder; also love fishing, camping at the lakes and sand dunes, and riding anything out in the desert as long as it’s FAST!
Registered Dental Hygienist
My role as a dental hygienist is twofold. First, my goal is to help people enjoy their “dreaded” dental visits while providing a thorough cleaning. Just as important is the education I provide to patients regarding their oral health and how it can affect their overall health. One of the best parts of my job is the group of people I work with — we all have fun at work and love laughing together. They are very accepting of me and my shenanigans!
I am a wife and mother of five who loves to laugh! I also do personal training and love educating people on the benefits of essential oils.
I started my career in 2015 as a dental assistant before continuing my education and receiving a BS in dental hygiene from TMCC. After working in pediatric dentistry for seven years, I joined Dicus Family Dentistry! I love chatting and getting to know all of our patients and helping them achieve a better understanding of not only their oral health, but also their overall general health. I have so much fun at my job and wake up every day excited to go to work!
Outside of cleaning teeth, I love spending the weekend riding one of my Harleys and exploring new places, especially trying all the food! I was born and raised in Reno, but love to find new adventures. At home, my long-term boyfriend and I have three adorable dogs: Oso, Sade, and Capone. They keep us busy! I also enjoy doing all kinds of crafting, such as sewing and cross-stitch, and my most favorite hobby is taking long walks to the refrigerator.
I love learning about each patient’s life. I find I learn a lot from our exchanges, and in the process, we develop strong relationships. Seeing people come back for their visits allows us to renew and strengthen those bonds. I assist the doctor as he cares for patients. I make sure he has everything needed, while seeing that our patient is comfortable. I spend a lot of time talking with patients about dental health, how it affects their body, and why Dr. Dicus recommends certain treatments.
I’m a caregiver, here at the office and at home. From babies in the nursery at my church to my 82-year-old mother, I have a wide range of experience in caring for people’s unique needs.
I started my dental career as an assistant in 2003, and became a part of the Dicus Family Dentistry family in 2015. I enjoy the variety of dental assisting, with many different procedures to make each day exciting and new. Most of all, I love our patients and getting to know them and hearing their stories.
I was born and raised right here in Reno. When I’m not in the office, I enjoy spending time with my husband and two kids, camping, traveling, and baseball.
