Dental Assistant and Front Desk Assistant
I love learning about each patient’s life. I find I learn a lot from our exchanges, and in the process, we develop strong relationships. Seeing people come back for their visits allows us to renew and strengthen those bonds. I assist the doctor as he cares for patients. I make sure he has everything he needs, while also seeing that our patient is comfortable. I spend a lot of time talking with patients about dental health, how it affects their body, and why Dr. Dicus recommends certain treatments.
I’m a caregiver, here at the office and at home. From babies in the nursery at my church to my 83-year-old father, I have a wide range of experience in caring for people’s unique needs.
I sit chairside with Dr. Dicus as he performs a variety of dental procedures, and see to it he has everything he needs, but focus mainly on our patient. I make sure the person is relaxed and comfortable, and keep him or her updated on the progress. I like helping our patients achieve dental health and well-being, and love getting to know each one on a personal level.
I was born and raised right here in Reno. My husband and I have two great kids, and we enjoy camping, travel, and baseball together as a family.
Front Office / Dental Assistant
I am here to help patients with insurance processing, patient coordination, and occasional assisting in the clinic. I genuinely enjoy helping people achieve better oral health and establish a dental home here at Dicus Family Dentistry. Our staff is amazing. We work great together and truly enjoy each other’s company. Everyone is so positive and gets along so well—it’s always fun to come to work!
My fiancé and I love traveling, hiking and working on our house, which we share with our five pets. I also love yoga, reading, and photography.
I assist Dr. Dicus with patient care and strive every day to create a fun and easy-going atmosphere so our patients feel comfortable. Providing high quality patient care is a very rewarding aspect of my job. Another is working with such a great team—we all work well together and share the same goals when it comes to our patients’ care.
I am a mother of two: a nine-year-old boy and a four-year-old girl. Along with the amazing man in my life, we all enjoy the great outdoors and love to travel.
Registered Dental Hygienist
I am in charge of the hygiene department at Dr. Dicus’ office. I perform all aspects of dental hygiene; including cleaning our patient’s teeth, scaling and root planning, sealants, and patient education. I love helping my patients achieve an optimum state of oral health through my treatment and educating them. I also enjoy the relationships with the other girls that work here and, of course, I love working with Dr. Dicus. We all get along so well with each other and all work great as a team. Our patients are cared for in an excellent manner starting with the very first phone call.
I am a proud Northern Nevadan, born and raised. I am an avid skier and snowboarder also love fishing, camping at the lakes and sand dunes, and riding anything out in the desert as long as it’s FAST!
Registered Dental Hygienist
My role as a dental hygienist is twofold. First, my goal is to help people enjoy their “dreaded” dental visits while providing a thorough cleaning. Just as important is the education I provide to patients regarding their oral health and how it can affect their overall health. One of the best parts of my job is the group of people I work with—we all have fun at work and love laughing together. They are very accepting of me and my shenanigans!
I am a wife and mother of three who loves to laugh! I also do personal training and love educating people on the benefits of essential oils.
Registered Dental Hygienist
I began my career as a dental assistant in Washington State when I was in high school. I continued my education and have been a dental hygienist for 20 years. I moved to Reno five years ago. I was a hygienist in my small Washington community of 8,000 people for 15 years. My patients were always treated like good friends or family. I’m looking forward to making my Reno patients feel like good friends as well. I like bringing a great attitude and a sense of fun to the Dicus Family Dentistry team. I’m always looking for a reason to celebrate!
I love to travel and do it as often as possible. My favorite places to travel to are Ireland, Germany, Hungary, and the Czech Republic. I have many more countries to check off my list before I’m done!
As a new addition to the Dicus Family Dentistry team, I am incredibly excited to play a part in our patients’ oral health! While I’m a new face here, I’m not new to dentistry—I’ve been working in the field for 16 years. My experience comes in handy when maneuvering a busy schedule or handling an insurance question. Our patients are by far the best part of my job. I love interacting with them and hearing about their exciting life experiences!
I am a wife and mother of a son in college. My family and friends are my life and I treasure spending time with them. I also enjoy traveling, camping, hiking, and adventures with our two dachshunds.
My goal is to make sure all our patients have a great experience in our office. One of the highlights of my job is interacting with and establishing friendships with our patients and their families. I love the personal connections I make on a daily basis. Dr. Dicus and our team make coming to work every day a lot of fun! We work so well together and truly enjoy each other’s company.
At home, I have two children, Scott and Kylie. Some of our favorite activities to do as a family are skiing and snowboarding in the winter, and camping and being at the lake in the summer. Spending time with my kids, friends, and family is the most important thing in the world.
